Spectrum Wireless, Inc. Names Scott Krell Director of Operations

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 12, 2001--Spectrum Wireless, Inc., a leading developer of wireless IP routers, today announced that Scott Krell has joined its management team as Director of Operations.

Reporting to Adam Sewall, CEO, Krell is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing, contracting, and operational aspects of Spectrum's product development process.

"Scott's experience within the functional areas of manufacturing and operations are key in enabling Spectrum Wireless to launch products in a timely fashion," said Sewall. "Additional product enhancements will be an ongoing process for Spectrum Wireless as we look to be the leaders in our space and Scott's background with hardware design, growth strategies, and manufacturing will be instrumental to our success."

Mr. Krell brings over 17 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and operations in the telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Spectrum Wireless, he was with Odyssey Technology, where he was responsible for all efforts with outsourced manufacturing, industrial design and hardware design, and also evaluated, chose and worked with contract manufacturing partners to produce and distribute products. Prior to that, Mr. Krell served as Manufacturing Engineering Manager for Metawave Communications where he developed tools and wrote paper-less manufacturing procedures for cellular base station products. Mr. Krell began his career at Intermec Corporation.
